Here's a boring, pictureless update of what we've been up to (with bullets, because I'm too lazy to even write full prose):
- Tore the carpet out of the living/dining rooms. There is a piano now in SillyGirl's room.
- Doc started his first official year of med school.
- I also started back to school. Best class of the term: microbiology. NOT! Yoga, of course!
- SillyGirl goes to preschool. It has been a hard week, but I think today she is finally getting the hang of it and may actually start to like it.
- College football season started last night, so now the only meaningful conversations Doc and I will have will revolve around the Big Ten, how U of M is totally overrated, JoPa, and of course, the Spartans latest WIN!
- We went to Ikea and got SillyGirl a new bed. It's a twin, and she picked out a Little Mermaid comforter to go on it. I know, I'm falling down on the job, but she wanted Little Mermaid-- and truthfully, I had a Little Mermaid comforter when I was little... my mom still has it. This has been awesome: she has been sleeping in her own bed, alien-free, and last night even got up and went potty in the middle of the night! Why didn't we do this sooner!?!?!
- We bought plane tickets to Washington, DC for SFN. Yay trip!
- My first doula client had her baby, and I wasn't there. Maybe next time....
- Our friends M and K came up from Cincy. They lived in the same apartments as us in Boise, and moved to Ohio shortly after we moved to Michigan. It was so fun to see them, we're planning a trip down to visit them soon.
Life is good here. We are all getting into the swing of the new semester and enjoying the last of summer. I love fall, but I hate winter. I wish we could skip and go straight to spring... maybe if this whole "global warming" thing really works ;). I promise some photos next time, I haven't really been taking any....

I'm with you- hated micro, loved yoga. I still use yoga "principles" to fall asleep at night at the end of a really bad day, or the night before what I anticipate to be a really bad day...
